On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD shall take no rest for yourselves nor give him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth… Isa 62:7,8

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you prosper. May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.”…Psa 122:6,7

Most all my paintings begin with a vision that I sketch out and then begin with a prayer for that divine enablement and inspiration to make the vision reality.  This piece was about the spiritual realm of prayer and intercession for the peace and prosperity of Jerusalem.  If you have spent hours in prayer and petition for this beloved city, you will understand the passion and intensity of a watchman!
