ABOUT ME

For as long as I can remember, being an artist was a wistful longing in my heart.  I loved to draw and spent hours with colored pencils, stencils, crayons and clay, inspired by the creations of other family members, and beautiful glossy photos in the National Geographic magazines!

My favorite school projects were presentations of research topics, that I could use cut outs, and drawings, or art projects to incorporate!  Later in my teenage years I rendered many portraits, and won several awards for my art in Scholastic competitions, and in local juried shows.

After completing a 4 Year Interior Design degree, I found great pleasure in a career using those artistic giftings to visualize and interpret my clients tastes and styles into beautiful home and office spaces.

The three decades spent working with color, technique and symmetry in interiors gave me a unique approach to painting, consisting of many out of the box approaches to mediums.  Incorporating murals, and inventing custom painting techniques broadened my knowledge of how color blended and the nuances of contrasts and focal points.  Although my dream to get extensive professional art instruction was put on hold while raising my family, I am now at last, fulfilling that burning desire!

In January 2020, I enrolled in the Milan Art Institute, and have experienced the understanding of even more techniques and exciting assignments that have enhanced my abilities and expression.

To have been awarded with “Best of Show”, and numerous first place in category wins in regional juried shows, have been very rewarding affirmations to the calling and purpose of this season in my life!

Additionally, it has been my joy to prayerfully take on exciting commissions for the last several years, and to rely on Divine inspiration to interpret each project!  My desire is to impart a sense of wonder and spiritual connection with my subject matter, inviting a closer look, and perhaps, a lingering and stirring message to the heart.

So, I welcome you into my world of color, shape and design!  I would love it if you were captivated by the way I express beauty and a sense of wonder, with a brush stroke or a peek into the unknown.  It is my prayer, to accentuate that glorious gift that life is, and to glorify the Creator that has so lavishly blessed us with it!
